Bayer Leverkusen wins the catch-up game at HSV 1-0. After the game, Sky presenter Patrick Wasserzieh makes two professionals laugh with a question.
After Leverkusen’s 1-0 victory over HSV, Sky presenter Patrick Wasserzieh made Bayer professionals Robert Andrich and Ibrahim Maza, who appeared for the double interview, laugh with a question.
After the 59-year-old had drawn an initial conclusion and asked his first question, he asked Andrich: “Were you better today than in the 1-1 draw against Hertha?” Immediately after Wasserzieh said his words, a big grin spread across the faces of both professionals.
“Against Hertha?” asked Maza in disbelief, who, as a former Berliner, knows that Hertha plays in the 2nd Bundesliga. At that point at the latest, Wasserzieh noticed his mistake, whereupon he corrected himself and apologized. His explanation: Maza’s Hertha past probably influenced him.
He made it clear that he was referring to the Werkself’s 1-1 draw against Mainz at the weekend. Leverkusen’s captain Andrich answered the correct question in the affirmative: “It was already good today in terms of activity and toughness in duels.”
But the interview wasn’t just humorous because of this question. Even when Wasserzieh wanted to know from the duo whether they would do things together in private, there were smiles. At first Maza dismissed it, saying it hadn’t happened yet. “But I’m not the kind of person who goes out a lot,” explained the Algerian international. “And I have children,” Andrich replied dryly.
The 19-time German international added that Maza was always warmly invited and a welcome guest.
