What do banks really do to protect their customers against phishing? That question is becoming increasingly louder now that Belgians are inundated with fraudulent messages. In January, Safeonweb received up to 50,000 reports of phishing on peak days. Our consumer expert Safia Yachou conducted an extensive survey of eleven banks and found out which bank does what to protect you against phishing: from selfie videos that the customer has to make to a ‘guardian angel’.
