The suspect now arrested is also suspected of robberies of homes in De Goorn and Avenhorn and one in Dreumel in Gelderland.
The robbery in Noord-Scharwoude took place on July 22, 2021 and was part of a series of robberies in Noord-Holland Noord in 2020-2021, for which several suspects have already been arrested, prosecuted and convicted.
To date, the police have not fully identified the perpetrators in all investigations. Six suspects were convicted in the series of seven robberies, with the four main suspects receiving prison sentences of between 20 years and 29 years, and two suspects for a robbery receiving prison sentences of 6.5 and 3 years and nine months respectively.
Victim barely survived
The police suspect the Amsterdam resident of complicity in the armed robbery of residents of a house on Oranjestraat in Noord-Scharwoude on July 22, 2021. One of the residents of the house was hit in the chest and barely survived.
In De Goorn, a village in the municipality of Koggenland, an armed robbery took place on a farm on August 8, 2020. An older couple was threatened and severely abused. One of the residents was even shot close to the ear. He is also suspected of this home invasion.
According to police, the man was also involved in an armed robbery of a resident on January 7, 2021 in Avenhorn. The resident was seriously injured by a gunshot wound to her neck.
Search
During a search of the suspect’s home, several items were seized, including several telephones, money and watches. These watches may have been taken during other robberies. The firearm in the photo below was also found.
