Lots of news regarding the World Series of Poker Europe. They change period and above all location. There are 15 bracelets up for grabs. The Main Event will have a very high guaranteed prize pool and the Player of the Year will also receive a not bad check. Here is the complete program of the event
The decade is near but the “round” anniversary will occur in 2027. This certainly does not detract from the charm of an event that also attracts players from overseas. We are close to the start of the World Series of Poker Europe, the WSOPE, 2026: here is the program in Prague
NEW DATES AND NEW LOCATION
—
From Annette Obrestad’s exploit, which we had already told you about, to Daniel Pidun’s success. In between, among the various winners of the WSOPE Main Event we find people like Adrian Mateos, John Juanda, Phil Hellmuth and our Simone Andrian. History tells us that we are not talking about “just any” Festival. The World Series of Poker Europe is just around the corner. The next appointment for the various poker players will be the IPC of Campione, then, for those who want, there will be a reservation to be made flight to Prague. Over the course of nearly 20 editions, the WSOPE headquarters has moved from London to Cannes to Berlin before gliding with some regularity to Rozvadov. From 2026, however, the location changes again. You remain in the Czech Republic but move about 150 km further east. Prague will host the Festival which will start on March 31st and end on April 12th. The gaming period has also changed: usually the WSOPE was scheduled for autumn. The EPT in Prague, however, was at the end of the year. For once we will go to the city of a hundred towers even with a milder climate
WSOPE 2026: THE PROGRAM IN PRAGUE
—
There will be a total of 15 bracelets up for grabs: the first two will be an NL Mystery Bounty and a PLO Mixed on March 31st. Pay attention to the different “shapes” of Omaha: Mixed will have Big “O”, high and low. At the end of the Festival we will also have the PLO double board Bomb Pot so come prepared to avoid being surprised. The cheapest events will be the “Colossus“, scheduled for April 2, and its Omaha twin, the “Plossus”. Both will have a registration fee of €500. Among the new features of the 2026 edition is the one regarding the Main Event. Buyin halved but guaranteed increased: the Main WSOPE will have an EPT-style cost and the guaranteed prize pool will be 10 million euros. Prize money also for Player of the Year: the winner of the final ranking, however, will not only come from the Prague week but will give points from all the WSOP stages. So it will be a very long chase. Returning to the Prague program, we also highlight the novelty of the Rounder Cup. If anyone were reminded of the Ryder Cup, the concept is the same. European and American poker players will compete not on fairways and greens but at the table. The last event scheduled will be “The Closer”, on April 12th
