Antti Tuisku talks about his life in Spain in the “Trace of Tiedon” podcast.
Antti Tuisku currently lives only in Spain. The country’s bureaucracy has surprised the ex-singer. Jussi Saarinen
Antti Tuisku, who turns 42 on Friday, February 27, tells Ari Vallini and Pekka Vuorelan In pursuit of knowledge in the new episode of the podcast about his current affairs and life in Spain.
Tuisku has already owned an apartment in Spain for eight years. Tuisku says that he lives completely in Spain these days, so his books are also there.
– When I was on my last trip to Finland, I received a call from Kela that you have now officially dropped out of the Finnish social security system. It’s always a sign that we’ve really moved to Spain.
Previously, Tuisku has spent half the year in Finland and half in Spain. However, he has considered Spain his home country.
The official move and especially the Spanish bureaucracy has taken Tuisku by surprise to some extent.
– I have come to notice that when you actually move the books there and actually move, you are covered by the Spanish social security system, it’s quite a long way from living half in Finland and half in Spain and vacationing in Spain to living life permanently there.
– Finns tend to think that here [Suomessa] there is a lot of paperwork and bureaucracy. I always say: “Welcome to Spain”. You learn to appreciate the ease with which this type of thing is here in Finland.
Tuisku says in the podcast that he visits Finland quite rarely, about every three months. The visits especially include meetings and meetings related to the Tuisku AT Ski Team ski club and various cooperation patterns.
– I try to use my time in Finland in such a way that I get to meet people face to face. It’s always much nicer and more rewarding, Tuisku describes in the episode.
Antti Tuisku is currently also involved in the real estate business. He has been with a real estate company for some time and currently he also works in the company’s operational side.
– I have moved to the operational side to take care of things related to marketing and have become part of this amazing work community, and on the other hand, also to adapt better to life in Spain. There is everyday life that rolls along and things that bind. I’ve had a good time, we have a good mood there, Tuisku told Yle in October 2025.
