The Telstar fans are looking forward to a historic cup evening in Alkmaar. The club is on the threshold of the cup final, but still has to deal with AZ. Supporter Ed Wenning has been with the club since its founding and has a lot of confidence in a good outcome. “We’ll take that cup!”, says Ed in the new episode of NH Sport.

Telstar will be supported by a full branch in Alkmaar. Ed was also able to get a ticket and will be on the bus to Alkmaar on Wednesday evening. “It seems there are 800 going along and I am one of them.”

The chance of a place in the final is estimated by Ed and Pieter to be quite realistic. And then there is also philosophizing about the opponent. NEC or PSV will battle it out on Tuesday evening to see who will be the first finalist. “If PSV becomes national champion, we will go for the cup.”

In this new episode of NH Sport, former players Peter van der Zwaan and Bert van Duijvenbode look back on the historic Telstar semi-final in 1992. Van der Zwaan had a negative leading role by receiving a red card. The Limburgers then won comfortably 3-0.
