Shownieuws has given its studio a major makeover and that did not go undiscussed yesterday. The new desk looks more spacious, deeper and, according to Tooske Ragas, even a bit international.
It took some getting used to for regular viewers Show news: the show section surprised last night with a brand new decor. According to presenter Tooske Ragas, they have switched from polder glam to international vibes. She herself is extremely enthusiastic about it. “Yes, guys, what is it?” she explains to her colleagues at the desk.
‘Beautiful or not?’
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker thinks it’s great. “Is it beautiful or not?”
Tooske: “I think it has a bit of New York vibes.”
Studio guest Billy Dans: “I think it is an honor to be the first guest here.”
Tooske: “That feels good, doesn’t it?”
Billy: “Yes, no, it feels really good.”
Tooske: “Never forget again.”
‘It’s beautiful’
The superlatives are flying around the viewer’s ears. Billy: “It’s beautiful.”
Tooske: “Very good.”
Guido pointing to the snow-white desk: “And did you know that this table is made of the same material as Dave Roelvink’s teeth?”
Billy: “Yes, or from Gerard Joling. Hahaha.”
News of the Day
Victor Vlam talks in his podcast Victor Indicates TV that News of the Day also has a new decor from tonight. “It looks really nice. There is a little more space for it and that has the effect of showing a little more depth and that is generally very important for a decor. It immediately looks more professional.”
He continues: “In the old setting you sit very close to the screens and here you sit a little further away. That has a better appearance.”
Annoying
According to Victor, the old decor was ‘irritating’. “Because it was more difficult to have a conversation with the other guests at the program desk, even though that has become an important part of the program.”
According to him, this was especially difficult if you sat directly next to the presenter, in the ‘inner ring’. “Then it is very difficult to ensure that you do that properly, because you look at the person next to you and then you have no view of all the other people in the studio.”
