Tooske Ragas is annoyed by a video update from Gordon about his trip from Australia. The singer flies back to the Netherlands with a detour due to the unrest in the Middle East. “Um, safe?!”
Gordon did not appear on his morning show on Radio 10 today. The entertainer was on holiday in Sydney last week and his return flight was canceled due to unrest in the Middle East following the attacks on Iran. He was unable to arrange a replacement flight in time because there was little margin: he had scheduled his return very tightly.
Gordon safe
Gordon was actually supposed to fly back with one transfer in Dubai, but now he had to fly via Bangkok and Istanbul. On the long flight with Thai Airways he had no WiFi, Goor complains on his socials. “Anyway, we are all safe. At least I am. So see you Tuesday morning,” he tells his followers.
Tooske Ragas responds to this Show news irritated. “I have to chuckle a little… Well, ‘we’re all safe’? He’s never been in a dangerous situation, right?”
‘This is Gordon’
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker confirms this. “No, no.”
Gordon has never been close to danger, Tooske emphasizes. “He went from Australia to Bangkok!”
Guido: “But this is Gordon, you know. The whole world wants to go home. Ultimately, he can just do business class, mind you, then you will be very luxurious with Thai Airways… And then you still complain that you don’t have WiFi. Yes, it is the diva behavior that we know from Gordon.”
‘People are dying’
Tooske also thinks it’s diva behavior. “Yes, because there are a lot of people who cannot go home.”
Guido: “Exactly.”
Tooske: “They are just stuck in Dubai or the surrounding area.”
Music expert Ronald Molendijk: “Besides that, a lot of people are dying. Where there is war now.”
Tooske: “Of course, of course, that’s what I mean a little. My child is now in Dubai, so I’m watching Gordon’s video and I think: friend… There’s a lot going on!”
‘Child is stuck’
It concerns Sem, Tooske’s stepson. “Things are going well considering the circumstances. Of course he finds it very exciting. Of course he can’t leave. He is doing an internship at a real estate agency in Dubai.”
She continues: “So far he’s had a great time, but this is of course for parents on this side – he still has a biological father and mother – very exciting and very scary. For me too, but I want to mention them specifically.”
Terrifying
Guido thinks Tooske doesn’t have to worry too much. “It’s well organized there, Tooske, so you don’t have to worry about that.”
Tooske concludes: “Well, of course some bombs have already fallen, so I understand that all the people sitting there find that terrifying.”
