There are apparently no discussions about an early contract extension between shooting star Lennart Karl and FC Bayern.

According to “Bild” reporter Christian Falk, the people of Munich see no rush in the personnel. Karl’s advisor, former DFB captain Michael Ballack, is currently not pushing for a new contract, even though his client currently reportedly earns “only” two million euros per year.

The Karl side probably also wants to wait and see how the offensive player’s sporting prospects develop at FC Bayern.

Karl’s current working paper was extended until 2029 on February 22nd, his 18th birthday. In principle, those responsible should be interested in working with the youngster beyond that.

After Karl’s development rose sharply for many weeks since last summer, he is currently in a small hole.

In FC Bayern’s 3-2 win in the classic at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, he languished on the bench for the entire season for the second time in a row in the Bundesliga.

In 31 competitive games for the Munich professionals, Karl nevertheless has seven goals and four assists.

FC Bayern: This is “difficult from time to time” for Karl

He recently admitted in his first detailed interview with “kicker” that it was not always easy to free oneself from growing public pressure.

“It’s difficult from time to time, I have to say,” said Karl. “There’s a lot coming at you from the outside, from the media, via social networks. You just have to ignore that, but that’s not always possible. On the pitch, it’s not how old I am that counts, it’s that I show my performance. That’s why I just always give my all and concentrate on what’s happening on the pitch.”
