Nicolás Márquez, author of books strongly critical of the left such as The Black Book of the New Left and official biographer of President Javier Mileipresented an international online diploma titled “Expert in Civilization Defense.” The initiative, promoted by the Social Solidarity Research Institute, is part of the call “cultural battle”a concept that in today’s Argentina generates both support and rejection.
The program proposes the defense of Western values, individual freedom and national sovereignty against what it defines as the threats of collectivism and globalism. Although it is presented as a non-partisan academic proposal, its content is clearly aligned with libertarian and conservative ideology that today the ruling party promotes and that has been the cause of strong public discussion.
Among the speakers are the former Colombian president Alvaro Uribe Velezthe leader of Vox Santiago Abascalthe Argentine political scientist Agustín Laje and the Brazilian deputy Eduardo Bolsonaroleaders known for their harsh positions against progressivism. Márquez will teach his own module, “The Art of War for Truth”focused on questioning what it considers “collectivist narratives” and on reviewing figures such as Che Guevara and Latin American populism from that perspective.
The diploma will last three months—from April 4 to June 28, 2026—with 80 hours of course. Includes live classes on Saturdays, recorded materials, and access to a virtual community. The cost is 200 dollars and includes certificate.
The launch takes place at a time of high political polarization. For those who share these ideas, it is an opportunity for training. For those who don’t, it’s another sign that the cultural confrontation It stopped being a speech and began to be organized as a project.
