German dream day in the second biathlon league
The German biathlon men had already achieved a quadruple success in the shortened individual event over 15 kilometers.
Elias Seidl prevailed with two shooting errors ahead of his DSV colleagues Franz Schaser (+5.5 seconds/2 shooting errors), Roman Rees (+13.5 seconds/2 shooting errors) and Simon Kaiser (+17.6 seconds/3 shooting errors).
At the same time, Seidl grabbed the small crystal ball for the individual ranking in the IBU Cup. Shortly afterwards, Kink crowned the German dream day in the second biathlon league.
Lake Placid is the last stop in the IBU Cup. The men’s and women’s sprints continue on Saturday in the US state of New York. The pursuit races follow on Sunday. There will then be a second block in the former Olympic venue Lake Placid, which will take place between March 4th and 7th.
In the coming weeks, the Biathlon World Cup will be held in Kontiolahti (Finland), Otepää (Estonia) and Oslo (Norway).
