5th place: Mendis Coconut Brandy
It starts with a brandy that is second to none. As its name suggests, “Mendis Coconut Brandy” is distilled from coconut blossom syrup. Launched in 2007, it is the first clear brandy of its kind, according to The Drinks Business website is then filtered once. In the next step, the syrup is distilled twice in a French still and then poured into barrels again. The pure distillate is now said to be aged for a further two to ten years before being sold for an unbelievable price of one million US dollars per bottle.
4th place: Diva Vodka
The fourth place in this list is occupied by the most expensive vodka in the world. Not only does its unique production method make it incredibly expensive, but also the bottle in which it is found. According to the gourmet magazine “Falstaff”, the “Diva Vodka” should be filtered three times. Here not only ice, birch charcoal and sand would be used, but also real gems. In fact, the filtration through real diamonds should lead to a special purity of the spirit. However, this characteristic does not yet justify the high price of the noble drink in the amount of one million euros. The Diva Vodka is also sold in a special bottle, inside which there are a number of precious stones. According to “T-Online”, these can be Swarovski stones, gold pieces or diamonds.
3rd place: Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne
From the most expensive vodka we now go to the most expensive cognac in the world. The “Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne” was first produced in 1776 and named after the French king Henry IV of Navarre. It matures in wooden barrels for over 100 years and before it is sold it is filled into an even more luxurious bottle than the Diva Vodka. It is made from platinum, sterling silver and 24k gold. There is also a unique and incredibly expensive embellishment with 6,500 diamonds. All in all, the bottle weighs eight kilograms and holds one liter of the exquisite cognac. Interested parties should bring a more than bulging wallet, because the Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne will not be sold for less than 1.9 million US dollars.
2nd place: Pasin Azteca Platinum Liquor
What can be even more expensive than a 100 year old cognac in an eight kilogram and incredibly luxurious bottle? A several year old tequila in an equally valuable bottle. The “Pasin Azteca Platinum Liquor” from the brand “Tequila Ley .925” was introduced in 2010 and looks confusingly similar to the Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne. Both bottles have almost the same shape and are made of platinum, silver and countless diamonds. Only when it comes to gold has a decision been made to deviate. While the Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne is adorned with yellow gold, the Pasin Azteca Platinum Liquor uses white gold. The bottle is not filled with a “Tequila blanco”, which is bottled directly after distillation, but with a “Tequila anejo”, which has matured in oak barrels for a few years beforehand. In addition to the expenses for salt and lemon, passionate tequila drinkers have to put an additional 3.5 million US dollars on the table for the Pasin Azteca Platinum Liquor.
1st place: DAmalfi Limoncello Supreme
After the previous drinks have all been in the single-digit million range with their prices, the leader of the list finally breaks all boundaries again. According to Urban Drinks, it’s more than 12 times the price of the Pasin Azteca Platinum Liquor and costs an incredible $44 million per bottle – it’s the “DAmalfi Limoncello Supreme”. Similar to the previous places, with this limoncello it is not the liquor itself but the “packaging” that drives the price up to dizzying heights. According to Urban Drinks, his bottle is set with three single 13-carat diamonds and one large 18.5-carat diamond. In addition, there are only two copies of the DAmalfi Limoncello Supreme worldwide. One of these had already been sold at the above price. The other bottle, on the other hand, is still in the hands of the manufacturer. The supply of the alcoholic drink is therefore extremely limited, which could also explain the extremely high price.
