Alex Mazereeuw, TV critic for de Volkskrant, expects that the marriage between Today Inside and Lucky TV will not last long. “Maybe it’s just a bit worn out.”

The Lucky TV section, in which Sander van de Pavert re-records TV fragments with famous Dutch people or politicians in a crazy voice, has been a permanent part of Today Inside since last week. Presenter Wilfred Genee now announces a new edition every evening, after which René van der Gijp laughs very loudly.

Extinction

The viewers are less enthusiastic, just like Volkskrant journalist Alex Mazereeuw. “I think it certainly won’t last very long at VI and that Lucky TV might die out a bit,” he sneers. RTL Boulevard.

Sander also tried Lucky TV on Radio 538 at the end of last year. “I actually didn’t think it worked that well on the radio, because the images were also very good.”

Not so happy

That experiment on 538 has already stopped. Talpa says: “We have stopped the daily Lucky Radio on Radio 538. We wish Sander good luck with our colleagues from Today Inside. Of course, we do not rule out that we will do great things together again in the future!”

So now Lucky TV is at VI. Alex: “I can’t say that the first edition made me very happy. I wonder how much fun Lucky TV still is. Maybe it’s just a bit tired now.”

Shit

Lucky TV is especially fond of videos with Caroline van der Plas, Alex notes. “If you look at Caroline van der Plas parodying again and it’s just: ‘Hey, I’m going to shit, I’m going to eat’… There isn’t that much elasticity in the joke or anything.”

He concludes: “Van der Gijp laughs very hard and that can be contagious, but if it is not funny, then even René van der Gijp cannot make up for it.”
