The police are looking for a man who seriously assaulted a 15-year-old boy on the 18-Septemberplein in Eindhoven. Out of nowhere, the boy was knocked to the ground by a passing cyclist. That happened so hard that he broke his nose, suffered a concussion and bruised his jaw.
The incident happened last month, and the police are now asking witnesses to come forward. The boy was walking along the sidewalk with some friends on Friday, January 23, around half past four in the afternoon. He was walking along the cycle path when he suddenly received a serious blow to the face.
The boy fell and was left stunned and with pain in his face. The perpetrator continued cycling. He still looked back and even raised his middle finger.
Broken nose
After examination, the victim turned out to have broken his nose, which required surgery. His jaw was also bruised and he had a concussion. He or his friends have no idea why the man knocked him down. According to the police, there was no reason for this.
Perpetrator’s bicycle found
The perpetrator probably entered the station after his act. He was no longer found there, but his bicycle was found. It was seized and examined by the police. But that investigation yielded nothing. The police hope to gain insight from witnesses and have distributed photos of the suspect.
It concerns a young man between 18 and 24 years old, with a light skin color and a blond goatee. He was wearing a dark winter coat and a Gucci cap under a gray hood. The man rode a ladies’ bicycle with a beige basket.
