President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was the first person to congratulate Galatasaray on reaching the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. After the rematch played in Italy, President Erdoğan called the yellow-red team and spoke to the technical team and players one by one and conveyed his congratulations.
Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, who followed the match on site, came to the locker room and congratulated the players and technical team for reaching the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
