Sold out show canceled, release postponed – Levin Liam is making his fans really unlucky with “bad luck”.

Levin Liam surprised his fans on Sunday, February 22nd with a post on social media – in a negative way. The indie German rap artist, who has already worked with Paula Hartmann, Reezy and Trettmann, among others, announced that his new album would not be released as planned.

The singer had announced his second record “Pech” for March 13th. Now he shared the news on Instagram that the LP’s release date has been pushed back by over a month, to April 24th.

Vinyl is the problem

The reason for this: The vinyl records, which were supposed to be available at the same time as the release on Spotify and Co., have not yet been finished as planned.

The release concert is also canceled

And not only that: In addition to the album release in March, the associated release party on April 11th was also canceled. Levin Liam stated in his post that the tickets to the show will be refunded and will be paid back in early March. On Monday, February 23rd, he spoke up again via Instagram Story to respond to the fans’ disappointment: “It’s extremely annoying to cancel a sold-out show, but unfortunately there was no alternative.”

Records really that important?

Many fans showed little understanding as to why the album release should be so closely tied to the completion of the records. After all, these could simply be put up for sale later. It is obviously important to Levin Liam to have a common release date for the album on Spotify and on record. You can’t blame him for that – after all, sales of vinyl records have increased again since 2020 and more and more artists are relying on records to market their new albums and EPs.

Tracklist official

But with every bad news comes some good news. Along with the new release date, the artist announces the tracklist for “Pech” on social media. The four songs “Hunde”, “24”, “Marseille” and “Ausgedacht” are already out. There will be 13 more, including a feature with Symba, Baby B3ns and C4rl.

Next live performance

On March 4th, Levin Liam will also play a concert at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, his hometown. He also promised a big announcement for everyone who wants to see the new album live. Maybe his fans will be lucky after all and there will be a replacement for the canceled show.
