Around 2:30 am, several men enter the house on the Zandvaart in Breezand, at the top of our province. A family with two children lives here.
Father trades in precious metals and sells them via his website, among other things. The surveillance footage above shows how the suspects approach the house through the backyard. What stands out is the yellow on their sleeves. The police think that they wanted to cover the logos of any branded clothing with this.
The suspects spend some time looking for a way in, find a ladder and climb to a higher window.

Mother wakes up to the sound of glass shattering and goes to see what is going on. The woman is confronted by two armed men at the top of the stairs.
One of them points a gun at her. In the bedroom she is abused and tied up, while her eldest son watches. He is also threatened with a knife. The youngest, just a toddler, stands in his crib crying while the violence takes place a few meters away.
