The Iskelmä gala was organized on Friday evening at Nokia Arena in Tampere. At the gala, the creators of hit music were awarded.
The Komiat band was awarded with the Rookie of the Year and Band of the Year awards. The band competes in the New Music competition with their song Lululaiwhich they also performed at the Iskelmä gala.
The band Portion Boys was chosen as entertainer of the year for the fourth time in a row. The band reacted to their fourth win on Iskelmä radio’s live broadcast. The band said that they intend to make a noise during the evening in honor of the award they received.
– This is rewarding and feels incomprehensible, one member of the band Tiina “JaloTiina” Forsby said on the broadcast with a trembling voice.
During the evening, Portion Boys were also awarded Pro Iskelmä.

In addition to the bands Komiat and Portion Boys, the gala performed Arttu Wiskari, Behm, Bess, ElasticJVG, Kaija Koo, Nelli Matula, By Robin Packalen and Suvi Teräsniska. Among other things, they were seen as the prize givers Aku Sipola, Anniina Valtonen and Chestnut Rauhala.
