A man died due to a road accident that occurred around 7:00 am on Thursday 19 February 2026, at kilometer 58 (between exit 25 Laurentina and exit 26 Via Pontina-Eur) of the Rome’s Grande Raccordo Anulare. For reasons yet to be ascertained, the victim would have fallen from his motorcycle, crashing onto the asphalt, and then being killed overwhelmed from a passing car (whose driver was unable to avoid it). The intervention of the air ambulance was useless: the motorcyclist lost his life.

The police intervened on the spot, for the ritual investigations and traffic management, and the Anas personnel, for the restoration of the road surface. The traffic went in tiltwith transit allowed only along the emergency lane. In a short time, and over several hours, they developed long queues on the Grawith great inconvenience for motorists.
