Singer Bouke is no longer welcome in the Today Inside studio. All the gentlemen at the table thought he was a terribly boring bar guest. “He’s a bit of a dead end when it comes to talking, isn’t he?”
The appearance of Elvis Presley impersonator Bouke as a bar guest in Today Inside was not well received by the gentlemen at the table. He came there purely and simply to promote his concert, but he did not participate in any other conversations. And he was reprimanded a day later; he was criticized in the talk show on SBS 6.
Laughed at
Johan Derksen was very cynical about it. “I didn’t think Bouke was bad either,” he said, causing Wilfred Genee, René van der Gijp and table guest Tina Nijkamp to laugh.
Wilfred: “No, Bouke has to sing!”
René: “Where is he actually performing?”
Johan: “He only came here to tell me that! ‘I’m standing in the Ziggo Dome.’ And he wasn’t really interested in anything else.”
Not a talker
Wilfred indicated that he was very disappointed in Bouke. “You have to let Bouke sing. He’s not a talker.”
Johan then: “Yes, we know that now. You shouldn’t start a conversation with that.”
Wilfred: “No, we tried, but it didn’t work.”
Dead
Wilfred now confirms The Friday Move that he no longer wants Bouke in the show. “I never know who the guests are, so I saw Bouke standing there and I said: ‘Hey, nice, what are you going to sing?’ He says, ‘I’m not allowed to sing. No, that’s not possible, because John de Mol wants that.’ No singing is allowed on our broadcast, only talking is allowed.”
According to John, music in VI is a zap moment, but Bouke no longer has to come by to talk. “He’s a bit of a dead end when it comes to talking, isn’t he? Not much comes out. Let’s be honest. But he’s a northerner! He’s a really nice guy, I thought.”
