Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek has died at the age of 48.

James Van Der Beek, who starred in the teen series Dawson’s Creek, had colorectal cancer, i.e. colon and rectal cancer.

– I’m just on my way. This is the process. And it’s probably going to be a process for the rest of my life,” Van Der Beek said on the Today morning show last July.
