THEhe Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics have an unexpected protagonist: Snoop Dogg54 years old, rapper and icon of American pop culture. Special correspondent for NBC and self-proclaimed “honorary coach” of Team USA, he has already made waves by touring curling events, trying to take a ride on the Jamaican bobsleigh, on the Olympia delle Tofane to cheer on the American “Arrows”. One detail, however, makes the surreal situation: he doesn’t know how to ski.

Snoop Dogg’s first ski lesson in Milan Cortina 2026

Last Saturday, Snoop decided to remedy that relying on Picabo StreetOlympic Super-G champion in Nagano 1998 and downhill silver medalist in Lillehammer 1994. In a video shared on social media, the skier guided the rapper through the basics of skiing, starting with the most basic challenge: walking in boots. “It’s a little hard to walk in these,” Street joked as he watched him trudge through the snow. “I didn’t know about this part,” he replied.

Falling and getting up again

A lesson that started from the basics, with the champion showing it to Snoop Dogg how to stay balanced on skis. Mission (almost) successful: the rapper fell a couple of times, but without serious consequences. He himself shouted: “I feel like my legs are separating”, before ending up lying on the ground.

True to the Olympic spirit, Picabo Street delivered to Snoop a personalized gold medal with his name engraved. He reciprocated with a gold chain and a cap. Because at the Olympics, apparently, you can be a coach even without knowing how to ski. Just bring the right vibes.
