A dream wedding-reality TV show returns for its eighth season. The first version of the series A fairytale wedding including the program celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The program features six new love stories. Here are the new pairs.
Heidi, 47, and Joakim, 48,
In the first episode of the show Heidi Back and Joakim Back celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary and renewing their wedding vows. At the same time, the housewarming party of the couple and their three sons, which has been under renovation for a long time, is celebrated.
Heidi and Joakim were the first to get married in 2004 A fairytale wedding– as part of the program. Now Heidi and Joakim are making TV history when their union is blessed again in the same TV format, In a dream wedding.
After the couple’s first wedding, a lot has happened: several jobs and homes and the birth of three children. The journey together has also included sadness, but the ups and downs have only made the family’s relationships even closer.
Suvi, 48, and Jari, 49

A hearty party atmosphere prevails in the second episode of the program, when Suvi Valkonen and Jari Toiminen getting married in Kotka. The everyday life of a new family of five children is colored by Jari’s hyperactive and fast-paced nature, which sometimes drives the couple into collisions.
During the wedding arrangements, the stress can rise to overdrive, when the hustle and bustle of the busy groom strains the bride’s nerves to the limit. Underneath everything, however, warmth and love pulsate. There have also been tragic twists in the couple’s story, when both of Suvi’s parents have died unexpectedly. Jari has been a steadfast support and security that has helped Suvi get back on his feet.
Ann-Mari, 42, and Kimmo, 41

The third episode is starred by the happy people of Savoie Ann-Mari Tuovinen and Kimmo Turunenwho say their will to each other in Siilinjärvi church after less than a year of dating.
The couple, who have experienced love at first sight, are sure that this time they have the right one by their side. The new love has been life-changing, because both had time to throw away their hopes that a suitable partner could be found next to them.
The duo’s home is under constant change, because Ann-Mari is an enthusiastic decorator. Kimmo doesn’t understand all the spending of money, but is often satisfied with his fate. For a man who worships his bride, it is important to also participate in the selection of a wedding dress. Kimmo’s favorite is the “tits accentuating” dress, but the women’s more restrained choice wins. The groom’s opinion remains secondary this time as well.
Anu, 30, Risto, 57

Risto Toivonen and Anu Toivonen celebrate their wedding for the second time and start their love story from a clean slate. In the fourth episode, we get to know the couple’s 16-year history together, which has been difficult.
The couple has fought their way through a lack of trust as well as alcohol problems. The first meeting at the Ridasjärvi substance abuse treatment center in 2008 led to a quick marriage and two children. However, after a few years of being together, problems started.
Risto was caught in a whip shop with another woman and temporarily resorted to alcohol. The couple broke up and got back together many times, but in December 2023, according to both, a final balance was found. A new beginning is celebrated with loved ones at Virtakivi Sauna Voikka.
Jenni, 26, and Aleksi, 30

In the fifth episode Jenni Forss and Aleksi Forss will be married in Karku church, Sastamala. The wedding of a happy young couple is celebrated in Hyrk’s barn with hilarious wedding guests.
Aleksi and Jenni spend the life of a newlywed family in a detached house in the area of the former city of Vammala with their children, which they both had already. Due to Aleksi’s hobby and work, the family also includes a large number of snakes and other reptiles.
The couple’s love story started on a dating app when Aleksi was still in his previous, albeit fading, relationship. The spark between Aleksi and Jenni flared up quickly and within six months the couple had already managed to get engaged, get married at the registry office and finally expect their first child together.
Pia, 47, and Ari, 61,

Those engaged in gold panning Pia Mäkelä and Ari Nissilä live in a shack without electricity and water in the Hammastunturi wilderness in the middle of Lapland. There are no telephone connections.

In the sixth episode of the program, Pia and Ari’s wedding is celebrated on the 10th anniversary of their first meeting in Tankavaara’s Kultakylä. Pia and Ari participate in the gold panning championships organized at the same time.
