Actress Seidi Haarla says in Helsingin Sanomat about the actors’ challenging work situation.
Haarla herself has actively tried to find employment.
During her unemployment, Haarla has made a selftape, i.e. a video in which she presents herself and her skills. Selftape is a self-shot sample video, i.e. a job application.
– They were persistent in their opinion that it is employment in their own profession, because I act in that selftape, Haarla tells HS.
Haarla was given a grace period of several months.
Haarla says that she is used to uncertainty and alternating between work and unemployment. He has also worked abroad, such as in Lebanon, although he did not receive much pay for the work.
Haarla received the Jussi Award for Best Actress for the movie Hytti No. 6 in 2022. At the Berlin Film Festival, she received the Shooting Star Award. The award is given to a new talented European actor.
