These five actions will ensure that your pan will soon be the same.
Too hot a temperature will burn the food and destroy the ceramic pan. Fiskars
Simple, but still sometimes so difficult to keep the frying pan in order. Any pan will last longer if used correctly.
Although there are big differences in frying pans and their features, for almost all pans you should follow the ones below Fiskars category manager Lauri Paavolan given instructions.
Paavola reminds that you should be careful, especially with coated pans, as they are particularly sensitive to damage.
Five pan tips
1. Do not heat the pan when it is empty. Instead, always put a little oil, butter or other fat in the pan. You should spread the fat all over the pan.
2. Do not overheat. Especially the booster or Quick heating function of induction hobs is a disaster for coated pans. According to Paavola, overheating breaks pans effectively and the coating suffers quickly.
– If the coated pan needs to be heated quickly, the heat should also be lowered quickly, advises Paavola.
He states that it is good to fry in a ceramic pan at medium heat. With efficient induction plates and ceramic pans, you have to review your own cooking methods.
– You can’t leave the pan heating up on the plate and at the same time just start, for example, chopping an onion, Paavola reminds.
3. After frying, leave the pan alone to cool. Never rinse a hot pan with water or leave it sizzling in the sink. They make the pan frosty.
Coated pans should also not be rubbed with metal wool or a frying pan.
Even if the manufacturer gives permission for the dishwasher, hand washing is always the best option for the frying pan.
4. Pay attention to how you store the pan. If you stack pans on top of each other, there should be a cloth or paper between them. Careless storage will scratch the surface of the pan.
5. When preparing food, use plastic or wooden spatulas. Coated pans should not be damaged with metal tools.
Paavola promises that by following these tips, the pan will last for years.
The good news is that new ceramic pans do not have the same health risk as previously coated pans, in which case the scratched pan was no longer recommended for use.
