It seems not without reason that Jamai Loman remains silent about Holland’s Got Talent when he is asked questions about this TV year, because according to Tina Nijkamp he is out of the show. “He has to make way for Koen.”

Jamai Loman has caused unrest by not saying a word about Holland’s Got Talent in an interview about the coming TV year, while it was expected that a new season would start immediately after the summer. According to TV authority Tina Nijkamp, the postponement has to do with a merger with the Flemish version of the show.

Saves half

Now that RTL has been taken over by the Flemish media giant DPG, Bobo Peter van der Vorst must ensure that all kinds of Dutch and Flemish TV programs from that owner merge. If Holland’s Got Talent and Belgium’s Got Talent merge, it will of course halve the costs. This is convenient in a time of declining budgets.

This is exactly what Tina says will happen. “Holland’s Got Talent will be a co-production with Belgium in the new season. That has quite a lot of consequences, because it means that we will see a lot of Belgian talents not only in Holland’s Got Talent,” she explains in her podcast Tina’s TV Update.

Got Talent

That in itself is not that strange, says Tina. “Because in previous seasons we also saw quite a lot of talent from other countries in that program, but it is new that there will also be a Belgian-Dutch jury. I think that Soundos, who is very popular in Belgium, can stay, but what about Chantal Janzen? Or Dan Karaty?”

Chantal and Dan are less suitable for the jury, she explains. “Do they want them in Belgium or not? Marc-Marie is also very popular in Belgium, so I think he and Soundos will stay, but Chantal and Dan will be replaced by Belgians.”

Jamai and Buddy

A little later Tina gets inside information which she places on her analysis channel. “Chantal Janzen and Koen Wauters would become the new presentation duo of Got Talent (as the merger show would be called, ed.).”

Oops, what happens to the current duo Jamai Loman and Buddy Vedder? “So apparently they are both skipped. These are rumors, RTL does not want to confirm anything yet. But it may be true.”

Disappointment

It would be a huge setback for Buddy if he were kicked out of Got Talent, because last year he also lost the presentation of The Voice Kids, namely because of his skin color.

Buddy is white and his boss Peter preferred someone more inclusive next to Jamai. That ultimately became Quinty Misiedjan, who is close friends with fellow RTL newcomers Edson da Graça and Soundos El Ahmadi.
