Promoter of Ice Cage Max Hynninen said in the video that the fight will be fought with boxing rules.
Hynninen said that he has wanted to organize the match for a long time. “Stagala” has wanted the match to have no weight class, Amirkhani has wanted more than a 3-round match.
Hynninen said that all parties have nevertheless reached an agreement. The match contract was written on Tuesday.
Amirkhani has fought in the UFC in the over 65 kg category, so “Stagala” has a weight advantage in the match.
“Stagala” is a familiar face at Ice Cage events. He faced off at Ice Cage 4 Mika “Immu” Ilménin. The match ended with a knockout victory for “Stagala” in the first round.
