The Danish coaches Bo Svensson and Bo Henriksen are 15th in the table. the Bundesliga rejected it. For sports director Fritz, this means a bitter setback.

Werder Bremen has apparently suffered setbacks in his search for a coach. The Danish candidates Bo Svensson and Bo Henriksen are apparently out of the running as the top candidates for the coaching position, as first the “Bild” and then the “Deichstube” reported.

The former Mainz and Union Berlin coach Svensson has rejected the club. The 46-year-old is said to have lacked conviction for the task.

Former Mainz coach Henriksen will also not succeed Horst Steffen. According to “Deichstube”, this had already become apparent on Monday evening. The 50-year-old is expected to be under contract with Rheinhessen until 2027. Negotiations were therefore too difficult, writes “Bild”.

The cancellations affect sports director Clemens Fritz, who has come under criticism. The table 15th. The Bundesliga parted ways with its previous head coach Steffen on Sunday after ten games without a win.

Fritz then confirmed in a media round that the new coach should not be part of an internal solution. It has to come from outside. The club now has to rethink this strategy.
