A car with a police tape around it has been standing next to a busy road in Breda for two months. The car without license plates has extensive damage. For a while there were even two cars on the Ettensebaan. Local residents are faced with a mystery: “Very strange.”
The car is only a few centimeters from the road. The Ford Ka on the Ettensebaan has major scratches. “Very strange. I don’t know what to think about this,” says a local resident.
“My parents are going to call the police about this,” says a young girl. “I once saw a lot of police cars parked near the car at night,” adds local resident Tom (18).
The police say that the car has been there since December. “It is probably a vehicle with expired export license plates (ed. white plates with black letters). The license plates have been confiscated and the owner is being informed,” says a spokesperson for the national unit.
Why is the car still there? “At some point the municipality will remove the car,” says the police spokesperson. After a week, the municipality of Breda has not yet responded to questions from Omroep Brabant.
Second car
For a while there was another car on the side of the road. According to the police, this was an accident. But that car is now gone.
