Pop culture is very important in the publisher’s program with its XXL books. The highlights currently include a book with Tina Turner photos by Peter Lindbergh, a gigantic volume about the strange universal artist Alejandro Jodorowsky, a reminder of the art of children’s books by Disney, an illustrated book about the “Eighties” by photographer David Bailey and an archive volume about Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining”. Recently, books about Donald Duck and a magnificent Hölderlin volume were also published.
Music fans will be happy with rock, jazz and funk & soul covers with some of the best artwork in music history. The published titles also include illustrated books with high-quality photos from the careers of the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Depeche Mode, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney. The photo books “Jazz Life” and “Soul. R&B. Funk. Photographs 1972–1982” are also a big highlight.
