Yes: Elon Musk’s daughter remembers a family vacation in St. Barth’s at the time in question.

Vivian Wilson, the estranged daughter of Elon Musk, has spoken publicly about the newly released Epstein documents, which contain email correspondence between her father and convicted and now deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In a series of posts on the Threads platform on Saturday, January 31, she confirmed the authenticity of the documents.

Daughter remembers

“I can confirm that we were in St. Barth’s at the time stated in the emails and therefore I believe they are authentic,” Wilson wrote in a verified Threads post. The 24-year-old explained that she had not previously known about the email correspondence and that she learned the information at the same time as the public.

Vivian Wilson added that she chose to “speak directly rather than being vague and cryptic.” In her posts under the account “vivllainous,” she detailed the family trips during the 2012 and 2013 period mentioned in the documents.

Information about possible further travel destinations

The trans activist, who had her last name legally changed by Musk and has had a strained relationship with her father for years, also speculated about the abbreviation “BVI” mentioned in the emails. “I think BVI probably refers to Necker Island but can’t confirm that,” she wrote. It is difficult to ask someone what year they visited Necker Island when it may be related to the Epstein files.

Wilson emphasized that she would confirm more information if she was able to verify it.

Content of published documents

The documents released by the US Department of Justice show email exchanges between Musk and Epstein from 2012 and 2013. The correspondence covers possible travel arrangements in the Caribbean, specifically to St. Barth’s and the British Virgin Islands.

In a December 2013 email, Musk said he would be “in the BVI/St. Bart’s area” over the holidays and inquired about a suitable time to visit, according to Associated Press reports. Epstein responded with several suggested dates, according to the documents.

In another exchange, Musk asked, “What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?” The documents contain no evidence that visits to Epstein’s private island, Little Saint James, actually took place.

Musk defends himself against allegations

Elon Musk reacted to the publication of the documents on Platform X on Saturday, January 31st. He explained that he had had very little to do with Epstein and had declined repeated invitations to visit his island or fly on his private jet.

“No one has advocated more than me for the Epstein files to be made public,” Musk also wrote. He was aware that email communications with Epstein could potentially be misinterpreted by critics. However, his main concern is the prosecution of people who have committed serious crimes in connection with Epstein, particularly with regard to the exploitation of underage girls.

Context of the Epstein investigation

Jeffrey Epstein was a financier who was indicted in 2019 on charges of sex trafficking and abuse of minors. He died in custody in the same year. His private island, Little Saint James in the US Virgin Islands, has become the focus of numerous allegations of sexual abuse.

The release of the files again raises questions about transparency and accountability surrounding Epstein’s social network. His contact with prominent figures from business, politics and society remains the subject of public interest.

Further developments

Authorities continue to release documents related to the Epstein investigation. No additional criminal charges have been filed since the current records were released.
