Stade Rennes has once again made a lot of money from the sale of its own product. Kader Meïté, who has been trained with the French since 2022, is moving to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League at the age of 18, where he signed until 2029. In return, Rennes received a transfer fee of 30 million euros, with an additional 3 million euros in bonuses. In addition, the Ligue 1 club is said to have secured a percentage share in a resale.

This makes the French U21 international one of the most expensive transfers this winter and is now the sixth most expensive sale in the club’s history for the Bretons. Al-Hilal only spent seven times more on a new addition. Manchester United have also been linked with Meïté, who is leaving Rennes after 32 professional games, as have Paris Saint-Germain and Crystal Palace. The path now leads the center forward to Saudi Arabia.
