Vero Volley wins in the Marche at the home of the last in the standings. fear for Golzadeh who leaves on a stretcher
In the men’s Super League, Monza virtually puts an end to Grottazzolina’s hopes of catching the salvation train (mathematical relegation still depends on the results of Cisterna and Cuneo) with a deserved 3-0 and without many moments of uncertainty. These three points are fundamental for Vero Volley, with four days to go (three for Monza), to stay in eighth place which would qualify them for the championship playoffs. The match was quite consistent in its progress with Rohrs and Atanasov leading the Vero Volley. Grottazzolina was also unlucky and experienced moments of fear at the beginning of the second set: at 5-4 for Monza, the opposite player Golzadeh threw himself in defense of a ball and the setter Falaschi attempted to skip it to get the second touch but hit him very hard with his knee on the head. The Iranian remained on the ground and was immediately rescued and left on a stretcher. He was taken to hospital and is conscious and will remain under observation. Five games tomorrow
