VZV won the North Holland derby against SEW 30-25. Edwin Janssen’s team opened a gap early in the match. SEW came back into the match, but in the final phase the home team expanded to a margin of five.
“This victory tastes good. We played well and remained calm. The game was tough, but we remained calm. I think we deserved the win,” said VZV coach Edwin Janssen afterwards.

SEW player Isa op den Kelder was very disappointed after the defeat. “This defeat is painful. This was not necessary. We have shown good things. Beforehand I thought that the difference would be bigger. We have not really been doing well as a team in recent weeks. When I look at this match, I think that something could be achieved,” said Op den Kelder.
