At the proposal of Minister Van Weel of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom Council of Ministers has approved two ambassadorial appointments in the Western Hemisphere. These are only final once the host country has granted approval. The appointments will take effect from this summer.
The Kingdom Council of Ministers agreed to the appointment of ambassadors to the following posts:
- Colombia, based in Bogotá: Marielle Geraedts, now ambassador in Manila.
- Suriname, based in Paramaribo: Marjolein Busstra, now deputy chief of staff in Rabat.
