The report of the kidnapping came in around 7:55 p.m. The victim was taken in a gray car. Officers later saw that car driving on the Amsterdam Leeuwarderweg.
“On the IJdoornlaan we were able to immediately force the car to stop with a stop sign,” writes the Police. “The occupants were talked out of the car, after which a 20-year-old man from Purmerend, an 18-year-old man from Purmerend and an 18-year-old man from Lelystad were arrested.”
The victim appeared to have been beaten in the car. He had to be treated for his injuries.
The police have started an investigation and say that more arrests cannot be ruled out. People who have seen something on the road between Purmerend Overwhere and Amsterdam-Noord are called upon to report.
