King Charles III: the red carpet at the premiere of his documentary on the environment

Dfter the many criticisms and teasing he suffered in his youth for his passion for everything related to the environment, King Charles III finally takes his revenge with a documentary – Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision – premiered yesterday at Windsor Castle. As many as 222 guests came to join in Carlo and Camilla on red carpet. The presentation of Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision – available on Amazon Prime starting from February 6 – took place in the intimate Waterloo Chamberthe castle hall which houses a collection of paintings of inestimable value. And under the eyes of kings, tsars and emperors depicted in the paintings that decorate its walls, guests in tuxedos and evening gowns followed the documentary, then moving into the larger St George’s Hall for a champagne reception.

Filmed on four continents over seven months, the 90-minute film uses new footage interviews with Carlo, accompanied by previously unpublished images from the Royal archives, to illustrate the King’s personal mission in those key moments when the sovereign challenged climate change, exploring solutions for a more balanced and sustainable world.

The king’s collaborators at the palace defined it as an unconventional Royal documentary: “There are no golden carriages, glittering crowns or crimson cloaks,” they specified. “In their place is a deep and personal exploration of the ideas that shaped the sovereign’s life and work.” A cause that Carlo himself believes is far from being resolved: «Before I die I want to change the world for the better»added the sovereign.

Carlo was a true pioneer in the fight against climate change. He had started talking about it passionately as a young prince, without scruples about urging politicians and industrialists to act for the good of the environment. Ignored for decades, even his mother, Queen Elizabeth, disapproved. A future king, said the “old” monarchy, should not interfere in these matters, but should strive to be impartial. Carlo, fortunately, never allowed himself to be intimidated. Although he now confesses that he suffered greatly from the ridicule he suffered when he publicly admitted to talking to his plants in the gardens of Highgrove, his country residence.
