BTSV gives up full-back – move to 3rd league
January 28, 2026 – 2:40 p.mReading time: 1 min.

At Eintracht Braunschweig, Sanoussy Ba has largely been left out this season. Now he is turning his back on BTSV – at least for the time being.
Eintracht Braunschweig lets Sanoussy Ba go. The right-back is moving to third division club Waldhof Mannheim on loan with immediate effect. The clubs announced this on Wednesday. According to the information, there is no purchase option anchored in the deal. After his Mannheim interlude, Ba will return to Braunschweig. He still has a contract there until summer 2027.
The 22-year-old moved from RB Leipzig to Oker in the summer of 2024. Under coach Heiner Backhaus he did not go beyond the role of substitute this season. In the 2nd Bundesliga he only played four minutes. In the DFB Cup he was allowed to play for 47 minutes. He even played twice for the Eintracht league team. In total he made 13 appearances for the professionals.
Sports director Benjamin Kessel sees the loan as a logical consequence. “At his young age, Sanoussy needs match practice at a high level in order to be able to take the next step in his development,” says the ex-professional. “We couldn’t guarantee this for him in Braunschweig at the moment. We hope that he gains valuable experience in the third division and returns stronger.”
We now want to closely monitor the development of the full-back. The market value of the defensive player is currently estimated by the data portal “transfermarkt.de” at 300,000 euros. His loan club Mannheim is currently twelfth in the 3rd league.
