Ethan Hawke on Minneapolis: «This is not America, we need to return to reason»
“This is not America. This is not that shining city on the hill that shows people dignity, human integrity and compassion, all the things that taught me and that taught me to be an American,” he told AFP.
“I don’t want to say anything that might cause a stir. I’m trying to figure out how we can get back to reason“he added.
“I think everyone I know is really uncomfortable and upset and unsure about how to right the course. And it’s nice to be part of a community right now and be able to talk to people, and be able to feel and vibrate, not be alone. To be here with you talking about it, finding a way forward, without inciting blame and all that. Citizens can’t be hit in the street, it’s absolutely unacceptable, it has to stop,” he concluded.
