What you don’t do for your favorite: This Wednesday (January 21, 2026) there will be a pre-listening of Harry Styles’ new single: “Aperture” in the Rough Trade store in Berlin-Neukölln. The track is released regularly on Friday (January 23rd).
Exclusive preview for fans
From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., fans have the opportunity to hear the new song in advance. The event is designed as a “fan event”. “You can queue up to hear the new song exclusively in advance with headphones at Rough Trade on Karl-Marx-Straße 101,” says the press release.
Long queues expected
Harry Styles’ label warns in advance: “You have to assume that the queue until the start at 3 p.m. will be very, very long.” Everyone is equal in front of Harry – there are no privileges. “It’s important to Harry and his team that everyone gets the same chance, which is why partners or creators also have to queue up regularly if they want to hear the new song in advance.”
The playing time of “Aperture” is not yet known. Harry Styles’ singles usually last no longer than four minutes. That means waiting in line for a short pleasure. If the line is long, like really long, it might go all the way out of the store and the building complex. The temperatures in Berlin are around 0 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

On the other hand, it’s an opportunity to indulge in the long-extinct phenomenon of listening to records in the record store – and to revive the intimate feeling of putting sweaty headphones on your own ears.
No advance reviews desired
A note to journalists or hobby reviewers: “Advance reviews of the song are explicitly not desired.” This will be difficult to comply with – the Internet will be full of reviews of “Aperture”.
But in reality, that’s what Harry Styles wants: good advertising for his album “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally”, which will be released on March 6th.
