In the opening phase of the match it was mainly a matter of scanning and lurking for a mistake by the opponent. After eight minutes, Stefan Dol took advantage of a clumsy defense at Hovocubo on behalf of the guests and pushed the ball past goalkeeper Dave Stet for the opening goal. However, the team of trainer Jeroen de Groot could not enjoy the lead for long. Five minutes later, the home team equalized again, after Abdessamad Attahiri was able to tap the far post to score the 1-1 halftime score.

Expensive loss of the ball

Marlène started the second half strongly and failed to take the lead three times. On the other hand, it was just right. Goalkeeper Barry de Wit of the Heerhugowaarders needed too much time to control a pass, after which Soufian Charraoui stole the ball and took advantage of the opportunity: 2-1. Marlène tried to make up for the deficit at the end of the game by bringing in an extra field player, but goals from Karim Moussaoui, once again Attahiri and Faisal Mellah ensured the big 5-1 victory.
