An envelope you don’t want: the annual assessment for municipal and water board taxes. In February he will again be among residents of municipalities that participate in Tax Cooperation East Brabant (BSOB). This year the ticket will look different and you can arrange more online. We explain exactly what that means for you.
The tax notice contains various taxes bundled into one overview. Consider the waste tax, the property tax (OZB) and the water system tax. The WOZ value of the home is also determined by BSOB and stated on the note.
With these taxes, residents contribute to matters such as quality of life, facilities and water safety in their municipality.
New tax bill: less paper, more overview
New this year is that the tax bill looks different. BSOB has taken care of the note and made it clearer. The most important information is now immediately on the front: how much you have to pay and how you can do it. The banknote has also become shorter, which saves on paper and searching.
Also striking is the addition of a QR code on the front. By scanning this, residents can immediately arrange their affairs online. Pay, object, check whether they are eligible for remission or log in to the Digital Desk: it can all be done via one scan.
Tested by residents
When renewing the tax notice, BSOB did not just sit behind a desk. Members of the residents’ panel in Laarbeek were already shown an example. They found the note clear and easy to understand. Their tips were included in the final version.
Anyone who likes to arrange everything digitally will automatically receive the tax notice in the MyGovernment Message Box, if that option is enabled. Do you prefer paper? Then the assessment will simply arrive on your doorstep in February.
