There are rumors on social media about the artists of the New Music Competition.

The artists of the new music competition will be officially announced on Wednesday, January 14.
However, late on Tuesday evening social media already started to buzz when a screenshot from Instagram started spreading like wildfire. The photo spread, among other things, in the anonymous messaging service Jodel on the Eurovision channel.
In the screenshot, rap artist Etta would have revealed that she is one of this year’s UMK artists. All other UMK artists are also allegedly visible in the picture.

Iltalehti did not reach Etta or Yle on Tuesday evening to comment on a possible premature revelation.
On Monday, January 12, Iltalehti published an article about this year’s UMK artists. Iltalehti’s sources said in the article that Etta, Kiki, Komiat and Pete Parkkonen and Linda Lampenius would participate in the competition.
