The cross-country skiing world cup continues in Oberhof.
Kerttu Niskanen Jussi Saarinen
Kerttu Niskanen and Jasmi Joensuu are not going to the Oberhof World Cup.
Niskanen’s season has gone smoothly. He said during the Tour de Ski that he was suffering from a health challenge without specifying what exactly it was.
In December, Joensuu took the first victory of his career in the World Cup. The Vantaa Ski Club’s woman is second in the sprint cup by Johanna Hägström after.
Both Niskanen and Joensuu have already been selected for the Milan-Cortina Olympics, so the reason behind their absence is the idea of focusing on the main competitions of the season.
The Oberhof event is a two-day event. In Germany, sprints are skied on Saturday and timed starts of the traditional 10 km skiing style on Sunday.
