Quite a few heads have already rolled at RTL Tonight, but Erben Wennemars is still holding his own behind the desk of the talk show for miraculous reasons. Why exactly? “Nobody cares!“
Peter van der Vorst thought that RTL Tonight would give its major competitor Today Inside a sniff. He had boundless confidence in all the regulars who were roped in. Astrid Holleeder in particular was used as bait, but what a drama that woman was as an interpreter. We never saw her again, and the same goes for Ahmed Aboutaleb.
Nobody cares
RTL Tonight is now a bit like Beau, Humberto and Renze were and, according to Tina Nijkamp, this is reflected in the viewing figures. According to her, there is only one TV failure that needs to be removed, namely Erben Wennemars. He has a sports section in the program entitled De Held, De Hufter & De Hartjes.
Tina, the TV authority of our country, is really strict on her analysis channel. She doesn’t like seeing this. “Dear RTL Tonight, I would also stop this section. Nothing to the detriment of Erben Wennemars, but really: nobody cares.”
Nepotism TV
Her fellow TV presenter Victor Vlam is also annoyed by Erben, but for a different reason. “Is it possible for Erben Wennemars not to discuss his son for once in the Sunday sports block of RTL Tonight?” he sneers. X.
People are already annoyed enough by celebrities who push their children forward, he emphasizes. “It really hits home every time. Glad that he is proud of his son. But as a viewer I have had enough of this form of nepotism.”
Know-it-all
Victor’s followers are also not at all enthusiastic about Erben. “Is it possible NOT to invite him for once. Annoying know-it-all,” William sneers.
And Janna: “Who takes Erben Wennemars seriously? In DWDD Frans Bauer sat after he had been declared the most average Dutch man. Sympathetic Frans was modest, but Erben sat in the front row, shaking his head with disdain and visibly jealous. His true nature, he has had it since.”
