According to Inagro, approximately one in three dairy and pig farmers could benefit from their own fermentation installation. This research digester allows the technology to be tested and adjusted on a small scale before it is applied on a larger scale at your own company.
There are currently 63 so-called pocket digesters on agricultural farms in Flanders. “The potential is much higher,” says Bart Naeyaert, deputy for agriculture. “If efficiency increases due to better gas quality, that potential will also increase. Of course, there are also legal thresholds, but you have to tackle several elements at the same time to achieve results.”
