Bayern youngsters

As Lennart Karl’s advisor, Michael Ballack has classified the much-discussed enthusiasm of Bayern Munich’s young star about his “dream club” Real Madrid. “He is a young guy who is being polished, is in the process of maturing and is at the very, very beginning of his career,” said Ballack on “DAZN”. “If you are asked about your dreams, then I think it is also permissible for you to express them.”
But he could also understand “that there are reactions, especially from the Munich side, from the fans,” added the former Bayern professional. “But I think in context the statement is harmless to me.” Something like this hadn’t happened to him before – but for a good reason: “As a 17-year-old, I was never asked because I wasn’t as advanced as him.”
Ballack on Lennart Karl: “Don’t bend too early”
While visiting a fan club, when asked about a dream club besides FC Bayern, Karl answered openly that he wanted to play for Real at some point. No problem for Ballack: “We don’t want to bend the boys too early in society, where we are told a lot about how we have to express ourselves.”

Ballack also emphasized that FC Bayern is still Karl’s absolute dream club. Last summer we sat down with him and discussed the sporting future in view of the great competition with the German record champions. “Lennart said: ‘No, this is my club, my dream club, this is where I completed my development stages in my youth and now I have the opportunity.’ And he trusted himself to do it. And that’s not just said.”
Karl has had a remarkable first half of the season. With goals and top performances in the Munich star ensemble, the teenager even recommended himself for the national team and a World Cup nomination in the summer. He is already one of the ten most valuable players in the upper house and before the end of the year not only recorded the largest increase in the market value update, but the largest in the history of the Bundesliga.
