When the foreign wife of Fernando, a gentle cartographer from Barcelona, disappears without an explanation (the police inform him that the woman has crossed the border and returned to her homeland), the man chooses to do the same: he leaves without a destination, crosses a border and, thanks to a chance encounter, takes on another identity (in this fairy tale everyone has at least a couple in store).
As a gardener, he puts himself at the service of the suave owner of a “finca”a villa full of history and beauty, where card games are played, giving away wishes instead of money.

And it’s almost a shame when reality breaks in again, imposing explanations and a (temporary) change of tone. The melancholic and always sweet María de Medeiros, which alone is worth the price of the tickettells us that the imposture has its share of poetry.
