Due to a switch failure, no trains will run between Boxmeer and Venray on Sunday. Train traffic from Den Bosch to Tilburg is also experiencing problems due to a points failure. As a result, fewer trains run on that route. It is not known whether the winter weather is the cause of the switch failures.

“The switches worked normally on Sunday morning and there was no winter precipitation,” says the ProRail spokesperson about the disruptions around Den Bosch and Boxmeer. Repair teams are on their way to resolve the faults.

There will also be no trains running on the route from Arnhem to Doetinchem on Sunday due to a switch failure.

A scaled-down timetable will apply on the railways this weekend. NS and ProRail are discussing on Sunday about resuming the normal timetable from Monday. An official decision will be made on Sunday afternoon.
