Johan Derksen gets a big blow from Jan Dijkgraaf, the biographer of the Meilandjes. He thinks the VI mustache is behaving unfairly towards Antoinnette Scheulderman. “Fuck off, man.”
What a monstrosity it was: the interview series De Geur van Succes in which Antoinnette Scheulderman interviewed egomaniac celebrities such as Bas Smit and Sylvie Meis about their success. Johan Derksen has rightly criticized this, but it is no secret that he really thinks that woman is terrible anyway. And while she was the co-author of his biography…
“Fuck off, man!”
Antoinnette is furious with Johan, because she finds him completely disloyal. And Jan Dijkgraaf, the biographer of the Meilandjes, understands that all too well. He would never criticize the Meilandjes in public. “Isn’t it unthinkable that I would torment those people when I owe them so much?” he says in the podcast. Call Bassie.
That is the loyal attitude that Antoinette also desires. “She calls it loyalty, but I call it decency. Derksen may well be critical of a program by Antoinnette Scheulderman, but he continues to mercilessly cut into it and say ‘that lady’… No, fuck off man!”
Burn down
Jan points out that Antoinnette also has a relationship with Michel van Egmond, who was involved with VI for years and plays an important role in the success of Inside, the publishing company of Johan’s daughter Marieke Derksen. “Her husband, who loves her, has made your publishing house great!” he shouts to Johan.
“If he is married to Antoinnette Scheulderman, then yes, leave that chick, I would think… Derksen just wants to prove that he doesn’t care about everything and everyone, but he doesn’t have the guts to scold Michel van Egmond.”
Bad interviews
By the way, Jan does agree with Johan’s criticism of Antoinnette’s ego series. “I thought they were really bad interviews, because she did not go into depth at all and she was completely uncritical. I agreed with Derksen.”
“But what you don’t expect, and I understand that from Scheulderman, is that Derksen is going to attack you so terribly,” he concludes. “I think she is absolutely right about that.”
